Brad Hughes named to SS&A Design Collective’s Board of Directors

He also assumes the role of engineering managing principal

(June 10, 2025) – SS&A Design Collective is pleased to announce Brad Hughes, P.E., principal, has been named to the SS&A Design Collective Board of Directors and assumed the role of engineering managing principal. With this appointment, he will maintain the role of director of fire protection engineering.

Brad is a licensed professional engineer in both fire protection and mechanical engineering. Known for his deep technical knowledge and commitment to life safety, Brad’s project leadership spans from early planning and facility assessments to design and construction administration. His comprehensive understanding of fire protection, HVAC, plumbing, and building automation systems has made him a respected resource within SS&A and a trusted advisor to clients nationwide.

Brad is an active member of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME). He joined SS&A in 2012 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Central Florida (UCF) in Orlando, Florida.
