ADMH Adult Pysch Facility
The Adult Psychiatric Facility was designed to accommodate the inpatient psychiatric patients currently cared for by the Bryce Hospital in Tuscaloosa. The new facility was programmed to house 268 patients. There is an Inpatient Facility which was designed as an institutional occupancy and is two stories with attic mechanical rooms and mechanical penthouses. There are administration space that are designed to be business occupancy and is three stories with attic mechanical rooms. All of the Inpatient Facility is new construction. About half of the administration facility is renovation of an existing building (called the “Administration Building”) and the other half is new construction (called the “Annex”). The Inpatient Facility consists of four major components: Patient Housing (inpatient units), Neighborhood Clinical Therapy areas, and Recovery Center and Support elements.
