SS&A, as part of a Joint Venture, was the Designer of Record on the Design-Bid-Build project delivery team for the Human Performance Training Facility (HPTC) for the 23rd Special Tactics Squadron (23 STS) located at Hurlburt Field, Florida. The HPTC is a new 15,500 GSF training facility exclusively serving the 23rd STS. It is designed to support the performance training requirements of 23 STS Operators with Strength and Cardio Training areas, Physical Therapy Suite, Recovery, Sports Phycologist Office, Strength Coaching Office, Athletic Trainer Offices and support spaces and completes the 23 STS Operations complex.

The project included utility infrastructure, architectural, civil, landscape architecture, structural, equipment planning, comprehensive interior design, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, telecommunications, life safety, and fire protection design. The project was designed to the latest DoD criteria including AFSOC Facility Excellence Guide and pursued HPSB Guiding Principles Compliance Third Party Certification (TPC) through the Green Building Initiative (GBI).
