Project Size and Construction Cost
239,000 GSF and $50 million
General Description
The new simulations training facilities for non-motion-based and motion-based simulations was designed by Sherlock, Smith & Adams and was constructed using a design/build construction methodology. The project included construction of three separate facilities (approximately 163,000 sf; 68,000 sf; 8,000 sf) on three separate sites. The largest facility contained five primary zones, including the Call for Fire Trainer (CFFT) simulation area, the Conduct Of Fire Trainer (COFT) simulation area, the Close Combat Tactical Trainer (CCTT) simulation area, the Battle Command Training Center (BCTC) simulation area and the staff administrative area. The middle-sized facility contained four primary zones, including the Common Driver Trainer–Stryker Variant (CDT-SV) simulation area, the Engagement Skills Trainer (EST) simulation area, the Call For Fire Trainer (CFFT) simulation area, and the staff administrative area. The smallest facility contained only an Engagement Skills Trainer (EST) simulation area.
