Charles Harris receives third quarter Employee of the Quarter recognition
A 26-year SS&A veteran, Charles is always a pleasure to work with. There when you need him, day after day, he has established a reputation for being incredibly trustworthy. When given a task late in the day (as often happens), Charles just seems to adjust his schedule and gets it done, with nary a complaint. When faced with a stressful or inconvenient situation, Charles responds with his famous smile and a light-hearted quip. All of his SS&A teammates admire Charles because of his positive outlook. It is because of his attitude and dedication that many large jobs arrive on time. More than an excellent worker, Charles Harris is an excellent person.

Montgomery Office dedicates revived breakroom
The Applebee's on Carter Hill Road may start to notice fewer visits from SS&A employees. Now, employees at the Montgomery Office can enjoy a bright and airy lunch in the confines of their own building. With a great debt to the design and artistic skills of Albalis Vargas-Smith, the breakroom boasts a totally new look. The project was truly a display of SS&A teamwork owing also to the know-how and elbow grease of Tommy Brassell, Bill Burton, Chuck Singley, Glenn Yost, Randy Loveman, Billy Ratliff and many others.

The ribbon cutting for the new home of workday R & R took place on Friday morning, October 3, when Tommy Thompson presented Albalis with a certificate thanking her for her efforts. In addition to the sleek new furnishings and fixtures and the warmly vibrant finishes, the room features a new mural depicting a window to an office daydream.

Tommy Brassell garners second quarter honors
In the company-wide meeting in which this quarter's Employee of the Quarter was announced, the comment was made that some people may wonder if the recipient even works in the SS&A offices. That's because Tommy Brassell spends so much time on the road, keeping tabs on many of our projects that are currently under construction or under warranty. The dedication required of Tommy, as one of our prized Construction Administrators, is evident in his strenuous schedule. Yet, the fatigue never seems to get Tommy down. He is praised by the board for his in-depth understanding of the confluence of design thought and building science.

Randy Loveman named first Employee of the Quarter of 2003
Randy brings a light to the SS&A Electrical Engineering Department that cannot be measured in foot-candles. Known throughout the firm as a "quiet cornerstone" of a worker, everybody knows they can count on Randy to bring an exceedingly high level of dependability to each job, without ever tooting his own horn. As an Electrical Designer, Randy has the special attribute of having practiced in the field as a licensed electrician, and his real-world knowledge has proven valuable on countless occasions. Thanks for your hard and faithful work Randy! We're glad for this opportunity to toot your horn for you!
